Notable Guest Quotes

“I feel like every single song is life-changing for me because typically they're based on true to life experiences for me.”

“Being from Wales, a lot of times in my writing journey, I would write solo because it's very different to Nashville… in Wales… if I was inspired, I would get out my guitar, and there often wouldn't be anybody to call and say, ‘Hey, come over, let's write this song together’.”

“I think there is a dreamer in all of us.”

“When I was two years old my parents bought a vacation home in Florida and that is where my love of country music specifically was born.  I probably wouldn't have been exposed to country music if it weren't for the Florida home and visiting Florida frequently growing up.”

“I'm a big advocate for following your dreams, so even when that ‘but’ is loud, you need to ignore it because you need to follow that dream because it won't chase you back – you have to chase it.”

“I officially got my visa in January of last year and so that was my official move date. Before that I spent a lot of time going back and forth between the UK and Nashville.”

“I learned to play guitar in 2020 during the very strict lockdown and so something positive did come out of a very negative time for me.”

“I really feel like it would have been different if I came in to Nashville and every door seemed to be closing, but it was the opposite – every door seemed to be opening.”

“Actually getting to share the stage with Carrie (Underwood) was a dream come true.”

“A lot of times you go into auditions, or you play shows with organizers who say there is an X on the floor and you don't move off the spot because of cameras or if it's an audition.  I find that very hard because I love to move and I love to perform.”

“I was actually pretty badly bullied in high school back in the UK.”

“I don't think I've ever written down ideas thinking I'm going to save this for a co-write because I get ahead of myself; if I have an idea for a song, I want to write it then and there so I don't lose that emotion because often how you feel in the moment you cannot replicate that feeling at any given moment.”
