“I think my first paid gig was when I was 19 (years old) and I’ve been performing (ever) since.”

“I put in my two weeks’ (notice) the day after, and then I just decided to pursue whatever music was going to look like for me no matter what stage of my career it was in.”

“Since I was born in Colombia, and I have French background in my family, we all went to an all-French school. So, basically, I learned Spanish and French at the same time. And then when I moved to the States, I had to learn English, of course, so that's where I learned the third language. And then the fourth is kind of like a cheat, like a cheating language, because I don't really speak Portuguese, but I can sing it.”

“Finding out (about the Latin GRAMMY nomination) was just like, I can't believe it, but I can because we planned for it, we visualized it, we manifested it, we organized for it, and now we're here.”

“I really hope that every independent artist that's listening to this doesn't lose faith because there's so much that you can do as an independent artist. You don't have to depend on a label to get your stuff out there. There's so many other ways.”

“Even though (appearing on “La Voz”) was a beautiful experience and I learned so much about it and so much from it, I definitely prefer the live performance area of life, not necessarily the very produced TV part of it.”

“I feel as a songwriter when you expose yourself to other ways of songwriting you enrich your own songwriting.”

“Music can almost feel like muscle memory when you've learned it enough where, like, I don't even think about lyrics anymore. What I'm focused on is what expression and what emotion I'm portraying in those feelings.”
