Notable Guest Quotes

“My strengths are in melody, rather than lyrics… So, I’ll come in with an idea that’s maybe the hook, or the melody, and out comes the song!”

“I’ve never shown up to a write without an idea, but it might’ve happened on the way there.”

“The last few music videos I’ve directed myself and produced myself, edited myself, and so this is nice to have a professional, highly rated company do it.”

“Nashville, I came there on my 21st birthday… and I fell in love with it.  And so, years later I was just like, ‘That’s where I need to go to grow as a songwriter, performer, everything.’  And I had been playing in bars in Columbia, Missouri, and doing that but there’s only just so far.  It’s a smaller college town.  So I just knew I needed to branch out and go to a city that is saturated in talent and just learn from those people.”

“I had been playing at a different bar where, the manager there… she’s like, ‘I know the booker at B.B. King’s. I’m gonna tell ‘em about you’… So, yeah, that was an awesome residency.”

“Now I’m playing just everywhere.  I did the Broadway thing, did all the honky tonks, Miranda Lambert’s, Luke Bryan’s, Jason Aldean’s, FGL House… My chops grew.  I grew.  Learning how to rally a crowd and get them to pay attention… Now I’m playing all over downtown, all over Nashville, and then touring with my band on the side for original gigs.”

“When you’re putting on a show you want to Wow the people and then they look at you and are like, ‘You’re put together.  You’re a whole brand’!”

“I highly recommend them.  Everybody should be doing house concerts.  That is my bread and butter.  That is my favorite type of show, honestly, aside from full band, high energy shows, house concerts are so incredible.”

“I write from experience, like, straight up.  It’s hard to write a song that I can’t relate to, obviously, I’m sure.”

“What is a genre these days?  Unless you’re just full on straight one genre, that’s okay, I’m not.  And I just think there’s so many different, it’s a melting pot now.  It’s hard to pinpoint people’s sound sometimes… You’ve always been told you gotta pick a lane… and I’m creating my own lane.”

“You don’t want to just stand up there and have no personality.  Some people are, they fall in love with you by just being you too, so, I hope I get people that way too.”
