Notable Guest Quotes

"I always get excited when I hear new music, but I gotta kinda sit on it for a little bit until I actually fall in love with it."

"When I got into the music industry, I never came into it thinking, I'm gonna be a full-time songwriter.  That was never my goal.  I do love writing songs, but my passion has always been out on stage with a guitar rockin' the show, being in front of people."

"I have no ego when it comes to recording music.  If someone sends me a great song and it's a great song, I'm gonna record it if they let me."

"Being in the Marine Corps, it definitely instills this mental toughness and this quality of never being out of the fight.  And quitting is really not an option.  And I feel like if it wasn't for that first, I probably would've thrown in the towel seven years ago.  That's definitely been one of the biggest things that's helped mold me as far as work ethic goes and the mentality going into this."

"(Nashville is) a ten-year town, for sure.  So, I mean, some get there quicker, and good for them, but for the most of us, it's a grind, so, get used to the word No."

"When you're a junior Marine, and it's actually going through recruit training, you're never gonna be good enough.  Ever... There's always room to grow.  And that's the same thing with music."

"As soon as I feel like you think you've mastered something, that's when you're gonna start not being as creative or not pushing yourself to go further."

"Every show, every time you walk out on stage, play it like it's the last time you're ever gonna be able to do it because you never know, like, this could be someone's first impression of you."

"I don't want to be sitting on the couch one day wondering, 'What if I would've done it this way? What would've happened?' So, that's kinda really what got me out of my comfort zone of being in a group, duo, or band, and just pursuing it as a solo artist."

"I was playing about 120 shows a year and then COVID comes around and I played one show that year."
