Notable Guest Quotes

"As a songwriter I definitely need to get space and time away from the emotion and the happening of the event. And sometimes right when it's happening I write every day, I have a journal and I'll write down, kind of, what my exact emotions and feelings are but I don't necessarily put them into one cohesive song format."

"I already am so vulnerable with the people I'm closest to in my life.  And so, getting to share that experience as well with them and getting to create art around it, that's just kind of the dream."

"With songs, whenever I am writing them, it's never just audio for me.  It's always, I can see colors in my head and I can see a picture of what I want the artwork to look like and what I want the video to look like and how I kind of want to portray it online and just sort of the aura around it."

"Songs are never just songs to me.  It's kind of just like this huge piece of collaborative work."

"I felt like I could express myself more, or more naturally, through producing my own music and creating my own type of art instead of just singing what other people had written before.  I think there's always been kind of a writer inside of me and so I always like to appease that and try (to) create as much art as I can."

"Just being able to have family that kind of understands what's going on in the business and is really just, like, so there for you no matter what is so essential."

"That's kind of, like, one of the most exciting things for a songwriter to hear is when you're tracking your songs and the other musicians are digging it.  It's kind of like a little bit of validation."

"I have a better idea now of who I am as an artist and as a person and what kind of content I want to put out into the world."

"CMA Fest is definitely one of my favorite events to perform at every year just because of all of the fans that are in town for the event and really getting to connect with people there."

"I think the best way to create fans and genuine connections with people... is live performances and... meet and greets and getting to really talk to people and not just through a (phone or computer) screen."

"Building your reputation in (Nashville) is definitely so important and being nice to every single person you meet, I think that's one of the things I'd most highly recommend for any up-and-coming singer/songwriter, anybody who wants to pursue this type of career, is just be really, really, really freaking nice."

"You can never really be sure that you're the most talented person in the room but you can be the nicest person in the room."

"I think expecting yourself to be able to create all the time isn't something that is reasonable to expect of yourself."
