Actress and writer Tonya Todd has come onboard with Now Hear This to support her many activities. The Las Vegas-based talent is and has been involved with numerous projects, so aligning with NHT enables her to stay focused on those various opportunities, knowing that she now has help in her corner.

Todd landed the lead in Bard at the Bar's debut mash-up of Caesar & Cleopatra, which opens March 15th (2020). (She had been in four Bard at the Bar plays in 2019.) Also, her short story, “Phantom Fears,” was published in a book called Authors Portraits, which came out in October. Portraits of the author and a companion piece were displayed in a gallery and she was chosen to read for the gallery opening. Todd also has a role in “To Kill a Cop,” which is currently being filmed. Furthermore, she is the Education Coordinator for the Henderson Writers Group (HWG) and will be emceeing their Las Vegas Writers Conference at the beginning of April. She also coordinates HWG’s “Dime Grinds” program, which exposes local authors to the public via coffee house readings. Todd is a contributor to NPR’s Desert Companion, and her short story “Mourning Sacrifice” is featured in Tales from the Silver State IV. She is also planning a Diversity Panel for late February in Las Vegas.
