Now Hear This

The performing clients of Now Hear This are the eventual beneficiaries of a recent raffle prize won by the company’s president.

While in Alabama for the 27th Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, NHT President Bruce Wawrzyniak bought in to the raffle that the organizers were holding for a guitar.  At the event’s conclusion, the drawing was held and Wawrzyniak was the winner.

“I was pretty surprised, to be quite honest,” the NHT president said.  “At the time I purchased the tickets I was somewhat excited at the prospect of ending up with a guitar for such a low investment.”

He added, though, “As the festival continued I realized that my chances would surely dwindle due to what I assumed was going to be a good rate of tickets continuing to sell throughout the balance of the event.  So, I more or less put it out of my head.”

However, when he learned of the drawing’s outcome, Wawrzyniak was “caught off guard in a good (surprise) way, and very excited.”

Never having before played, he revealed that he is already learning the instrument both on his own as well as under the instruction of Crystal Blue guitarist Nick Pages.

“I believe you can always learn something new if you apply yourself,” Wawrzyniak said.  “Furthermore, this will be a great service for incoming performing clients who only sing.  I will strive to become good enough at the guitar that I will feel confident in offering the ability to accompany a client in a live performance.  It’s exciting.”

The instrument in question (pictured below) is a Nashville III series Tanglewood acoustic guitar.  Tanglewood is the best selling UK acoustic guitar brand.
